Where or Where has my baby gone..

I just had to post this picture of Janey taking a nap the other day. She looks so angelic and peaceful. I began wondering where have my babies gone? Time just seems to go faster and faster with each passing day. I try and remember certain things from when Chloe and Janey were babies and sometimes I find it so difficult and it makes me extremely sad. It seems like those times were just a blur or a dream. I keep hoping that maybe it all comes back someday and hits you all at once. Those are all wonderful memories and I would hate for them to be lost.

Now on to this little man. I am going to attempt potty training in a couple weeks and I am so nervous. You would think that I have never potty trained a child before, and quite frankly I haven't. The girls just kind of did it themselves and they were both potty trained by the time they were Nolan's age. He will be two in January. I think I just don't know how to go about training a little boy. If anyone has any insight or knowledge I would greatly appreciate it. Even tough I miss my "babies" I will be glad to be done with diapers!!! And since Nolan is our last and final installment of our crew, I will never have to buy diapers again once he is trained!!! Biggie Smalls hating his stroller!!

Weekend Update Part II

I had some other pictures that I wanted to share. On Saturday we celebrated my nieces' 12th Birthday. I can't believe she is 12 already. I am dreading the time that the girls become teenagers, and I become dumb and so uncool!!! Right now I know everything and according to them I am pretty cool. I know this will not last much longer, so I am enjoying it while it lasts! Saturday we also put up our Christmas decorations and the tree. We didn't decorate the tree until Sunday and I rearranged some of the ornaments after the kids went to bed. They seemed to each have a spot on the tree that they wanted to put all the ornaments on. Nolan is so funny! He loves the tree and all the lights. He constantly says, "OOOH, Ahhhh!!" He is going to be so much fun the Christmas.

Sunday was so nice out, that aftee we decorated to tree we all spent the rest of the day outside playing. It made me have a little touch of Spring Fever! Weird since we haven't even had a real snowfall this year. Hopefully, it is a mild winter.

I am going to be super busy this weekend! Lots of cleaning to do to get ready for our second Open house on Sunday. Hopefully something comes from it. I don't enjoy having the open houses. Not with three little kids to chase and constantly clean up after! We are ready to be rid of this house and hopefully in May or June be in our new house!

Let the Holidays Begin

Gal pals
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Busy but fun. On Thanksgiving we went to Tom's family during the day and then to mine in the evening. Way too much to eat and drink! The kids enjoyed playing with their cousinsn and eating the pumpkin pie. I did join the "crazies" on Friday for a little bit of shopping, but I didn't head out anywhere until the afternoon. NOTHING is worth me getting up and shopping at 5am.

Our little man
Our town has a tradition on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Santa arrives to greet the kids and to light our courthouse downtown. During the past 5 or so years it has become a tradition in our family as well. It was such a perfect night, not too cold, but still feeling like November. I love that our kids are growing up in the same community that Tom and I grew up in. I want them to have "roots" and for them to know where they come from. We loved living in Idaho, it was beautiful! But when the time came for us to start our family, we couldn't imagine them not knowing their family. It is important to us, our family and the extention of family.
Skipper

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Now on to Christmas!

Happy Thankful Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!! No pictures of the kids today, I apologize. Maybe tomorrow I will post some of them eatin' their turkey dinners. I'd like to reflect on all the things I am so greatful in my life. It seems funny to me that we like to express the things we are thankful for on Thanksgiving, but shouldn't we feel that way everyday? I am thankful and greatful for my health and the health of my loved ones, my wonderful lovable kids, my incredible and thoughtful husband, my warm home, my freedom, my family that extends and extends and extends ! My friends both near and far, friends that I speak to everyday, and some I haven't actually spoken to in years! My church, my relationship with God and every single day He blesses me with. Now, for the things that I am thankful for that may seem trivial; a really good red wine, that was cheap! Hot coffee on a cold, frosty morning prepared by my hubby! Hot, long uninterrupted showers! (For those with kids, you get where I am comin' from!) Really good books that I lose myself in. TiVo!!!
I hope all of you have wonderful Thanksgivings that are full of good food, good friends and good times!! Gobble, Gobble!!!
Edited to add:
* Chloe (to me about baby brother Nolan) "Big or small, I will always love Nolan"
Melt my heart!!!

STILL trying to figure things out!!

I feel like such an idiot! I am still having problems with posting pictures. Obviously, another oldie but goodie picture. I can't seem to post anything from Picasa! O'well, I guess I need to stop getting frusterated and just donate some time to teaching myself tonight after the kiddos are tucked in tight.
Tom and I had a GREAT time on Saturday! We went up to Breitenbach Winery and did some tasting and had a cheese plate and a couple glasses of delicious wine while we talked and talked and talked! And then we headed another direction to another winery called Raven's Glenn. When we got there we did some tasting and then had yet another glass of yummy vino while we waited for our dinner reservation. It was a really nice restaurant. Dark and romantic and cozy. We were a bit disappointed because the piano player was not there that night! Boo hoo!! We had a very nice Italian dinner with a great bottle of red wine. It was called Raven Rouge, and it was wonderful. After some relaxing time after our dinner, we headed home with fuzzy heads and full bellies to a empty house. (the kid's stayed at my folk's house). It was so nice to be together alone for awhile. We did miss the kids, but we very much enjoyed "just us". Not that I am wishing the kids to grow up and move out, but I will say that I am happy that I have such a great man to spend the rest of my life with, and SOME day it will be just the two of us again!

Friday, Friday, FRIDAY!!!!

I am glad it is Friday! Tom was off work yesterday because we went and looked at a house that is like what ours is going to be and it is in the drywall stage, so we were able to actually "see" it. LOVED it and are anxiously awaiting May when ours will be done. Tom is off today too for Veteran's Day. So we are having a LONG weekend. We are having a kid free day and night tomorrow. Our anniversary is the 22nd. Being it's the day before Thanksgiving, we are celebrating our anniversary this weekend. We have been married 9 years and together for 14 years!!! We are going to go on a little tour of wineries in Northeastern Ohio. I am so excited to get away with him!! He is my everything! And we always have the best time together, even after all this time. I will post about all the yummy wine I drink later! Please someone help me learn to include pics with my posts!!!!! We have Picasa and I can't for the life of me figure it out! I am not an idiot or computer illiterate, but I can't seem to figure it out! HELP!

I am REALLY doing this!!!

Okay, I am going to committ myself to doing this blog!! I hope it isn't too boring, after all I stay at home with my kids. So it's not like I am out there living up the nightlife or anything!!! But I am going to shoot for at LEAST three new entries a week. Sound doable?! I would like to keep all my friends up to date with my kids and the things going on in my life.

This picture of the kids is obviously old. It's from when Nolan was just born, so it is almost 2 years old! But I am trying to figure out how to include pictures and it is a pretty cute pic! Hopefully I will be back tomorrow or Friday!
