self portrait challenge: RED, some of my favorite things.......

RED, my favorite color. Red makes me feel sexy, passionate, loving and like a woman. All shades of red; burgandy, scarlet, cherry red, apple red, brick, blush, cardinal, cerise, claret, crimson, garnet, ruby, fuchsia, maroon, wine, rust, rose, magenta, berry.

Berry the color of a favorite lipstick. I usually wear a toned down color with a bit of gloss, but I LOVE this bright lipstick. I only wear it when I am feeling confident and daring and a little risky. I am not feeling risky or daring today, maybe tomorrow.....

What a GREAT Monday!!

We had a great Open House yesterday. There were 4 couples and three individuals who came through, and we are having a second showing tonight! Keep all fingers crossed! I would love to close after the first of the year.
This weekend was spent cleaning most of the time. Friday we did take the kids to the mall and I have to share that my son is a STUD! I know I have said in an earlier post that when Nolan sees the Christmas lights or a Christmas tree, he says "Ooohh, Aaaahhhh!" Well, my sexist of a little man spots two scantily clad mannequins in the Victoria's Secret window, and loudly says, "Oooohhh, Aaahhhh!!!" To which my equally sexist husband says, "That's my boy!" Got to love 'em!! Anyway, we all got a good laugh.
We had to be gone during our Open House yesterday, so we were going to take the girls to see 'Flushed Away'. Much to the girls' chagrin, it was no longer playing at our theater. So we took them bowling. I LOVE bowling. I suck, but it so much fun and the girls had a ball. Tom beat us all in both games. We do love this house so much, we have just outgrown it. I will be sad when it is time to move; so much has happened in this house of ours. It holds so many memories. But our new house will as well. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Friday, feelin' like Monday

What a yucky day! When I took the girls to school this morning it was 65 degrees and pouring down rain. Then it was completely gray and dreary for the whole day, and I did nothing. Absolutely nothing! But the thing is, my house is a wreck and we are having an Open House on Sunday. What was I thinking?!?! I kept telling myself, "Why clean now, when the kids will have it all destroyed by tonight and I will have to do again tomorrow anyway!" I am great with procrastinating and reasoning my procrastination. Also, I do great under pressure. With the help of Tom, we will have this house SPOTLESS by Sunday morning. With the crappy weather and rather yuck of a day, I had no picture opportunity so again I am posting some oldies but goodies.
Chloe and Janey as Sleeping Beauty and Snow White respectively
Tonight we are making homemade pizzas and then taking the kiddos to the mall for Santa and shopping. Tom will take them to shop for me, and then we will trade and the kids and I will look for something for him. It should be quite an adventure since all outings tend to be! As I said before, we will be cleaning all day tomorrow but then we are taking the girls to a movie on Sunday during our Open House. Wish us luck that someone walks into our house on Sunday and leaves an offer on the table!! We have our fingers crossed!!!
Nolan enjoyng cake on his first b-day! He will be turning 2 in a momth and a half!

Here's hoping everyone has a most enjoyable, fantabulous but relaxing weekend!

Where or Where has my baby gone..

I just had to post this picture of Janey taking a nap the other day. She looks so angelic and peaceful. I began wondering where have my babies gone? Time just seems to go faster and faster with each passing day. I try and remember certain things from when Chloe and Janey were babies and sometimes I find it so difficult and it makes me extremely sad. It seems like those times were just a blur or a dream. I keep hoping that maybe it all comes back someday and hits you all at once. Those are all wonderful memories and I would hate for them to be lost.

Now on to this little man. I am going to attempt potty training in a couple weeks and I am so nervous. You would think that I have never potty trained a child before, and quite frankly I haven't. The girls just kind of did it themselves and they were both potty trained by the time they were Nolan's age. He will be two in January. I think I just don't know how to go about training a little boy. If anyone has any insight or knowledge I would greatly appreciate it. Even tough I miss my "babies" I will be glad to be done with diapers!!! And since Nolan is our last and final installment of our crew, I will never have to buy diapers again once he is trained!!! Biggie Smalls hating his stroller!!

Weekend Update Part II

I had some other pictures that I wanted to share. On Saturday we celebrated my nieces' 12th Birthday. I can't believe she is 12 already. I am dreading the time that the girls become teenagers, and I become dumb and so uncool!!! Right now I know everything and according to them I am pretty cool. I know this will not last much longer, so I am enjoying it while it lasts! Saturday we also put up our Christmas decorations and the tree. We didn't decorate the tree until Sunday and I rearranged some of the ornaments after the kids went to bed. They seemed to each have a spot on the tree that they wanted to put all the ornaments on. Nolan is so funny! He loves the tree and all the lights. He constantly says, "OOOH, Ahhhh!!" He is going to be so much fun the Christmas.

Sunday was so nice out, that aftee we decorated to tree we all spent the rest of the day outside playing. It made me have a little touch of Spring Fever! Weird since we haven't even had a real snowfall this year. Hopefully, it is a mild winter.

I am going to be super busy this weekend! Lots of cleaning to do to get ready for our second Open house on Sunday. Hopefully something comes from it. I don't enjoy having the open houses. Not with three little kids to chase and constantly clean up after! We are ready to be rid of this house and hopefully in May or June be in our new house!

Let the Holidays Begin

Gal pals
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! Busy but fun. On Thanksgiving we went to Tom's family during the day and then to mine in the evening. Way too much to eat and drink! The kids enjoyed playing with their cousinsn and eating the pumpkin pie. I did join the "crazies" on Friday for a little bit of shopping, but I didn't head out anywhere until the afternoon. NOTHING is worth me getting up and shopping at 5am.

Our little man
Our town has a tradition on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Santa arrives to greet the kids and to light our courthouse downtown. During the past 5 or so years it has become a tradition in our family as well. It was such a perfect night, not too cold, but still feeling like November. I love that our kids are growing up in the same community that Tom and I grew up in. I want them to have "roots" and for them to know where they come from. We loved living in Idaho, it was beautiful! But when the time came for us to start our family, we couldn't imagine them not knowing their family. It is important to us, our family and the extention of family.
Skipper

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Now on to Christmas!
